For those of you unaware, back in May of last year (2007), before leaving the 'tech power-house' company as we all know as Microsoft. Bill Gates has announced one of the final tech projects that he has been working with for the past 5 years, code-named 'Milan'.
It is a table-top computer that allows people to communicate, share and interact like never before. How? This piece of computer history will be completely operated not with a mouse, nor a keyboard, but merely your fingertips. The touch technology of this computer will allow people to share videos, music, images, files etc through WiFi by scattering the files across the table the moment the peripheral touches the screen, allowing others to take whichever files they wish and simply drag & drop (with thier fingers) into their WiFi device on the table-top. This is just one of the endless possible abilities that this new computer technology can perform.
So what is Bill calling his new project? .....Microsoft Surface.
